The design system became an argument with receipts
Extracting Figma values was easy. Preserving where they came from mattered more.
- StickerGiant
- Design rules
I turned StickerGiant's Figma tokens, components, variants, and source nodes into a versioned repository. During the work, the agent found disagreements around hover colors, radius, button states, and the focus ring.
I did not let it average the differences into something plausible. We kept node references, a source map, known discrepancies, and a changelog. Future agents had to challenge a conflicting extraction instead of quietly replacing the rule, and the design system could explain itself.
